On 7 February 2011 Darren Henley’s Review of Music Education was published along with the Government Response to the review.
Michael Gove announced that £82.5 million will be allocated to music education for 2011-12; allocation will move towards a national funding formula, but no LA will lose more than 10% of its 2010-11 funding figure. Individual allocations to LAs will be notified by the end of February.
