Cascade to: Local Authority School Improvement team
The Secretary of State, Michael Gove, has written to Directors of Children's Services to outline the new approach to school improvement for those schools below the new floor standards.
The letter outlines how Departmental officials will work with local authorities to establish a way forward and support them to produce a robust school improvement plan for those schools below the floor within their area.
Local authorities with schools below the floor standards will need to return a school improvement action plan to the Department by 15th April 2011, through the SSID email address.
