Information teams in local authorities.
The Department has received notifications from some schools that important emails sent to them are not being received. On investigation, in some cases it appears that this is due to the central communications email address used by the Department not being authorised by the LA email system provided to their schools.
Action required and due date
Local authorities to provide confirmation that the email systems used by their schools are not blocking COMMUNICATIONS@email.education.gov.uk. Please confirm this by 20 August 2012 by emailing email@example.com
