Senior officials with responsibility for strategic planning of services for children under five and their families, and early years leads in local authorities.
This message includes a letter from Sarah Teather about our new publication, Supporting Families in the Foundation Years. Sure Start Children’s Centres are a crucial part of the Government’s vision. It is important that parents are able to access accurate information about where their local children’s centre is and what services it offers. This information is available on the Directgov website but this depends on local authorities voluntarily updating information about changes to children’s centres on the Sure Start database. A letter from Sarah Teather about arrangements for keeping information up-to-date can be downloaded from the associated resources on the right-hand side of this document.
