Introduction

Each of the software components that run the Aggregator is downloadable from this page.

Please note:

  1. No support is provided by the Department for Education for the software and other materials downloaded from these pages.
  2. The download materials include only the software required to run the Family Information Directory. No data will be provided. Organisations will need to obtain data via agreements with individual local authorities and/or other data sources.
  3. A high level of technical competence is required to install and configure the software. We estimate that developers should allow a minimum of 10-15 working days to complete set up. The documentation provided should be treated as a guide and is not intended to provide a ‘how to’ for each stage of set up.
  4. The code was written, under contract to the Department for Education, by Tribal Education Limited and Knowledge Integration.

This software is made available under the GNU Affero General Public Licence.

Developers may find the comments posted on data.gov.uk helpful in setting up the aggregator. These can be accessed on the Family Information Directory page.
