This is an annual SFR. It will provide the first release of provisional January 2009 School Workforce data. It will include standard tables for January 1997 to 2009 on:
  • Teacher numbers,
  • Support staff numbers
  • Teacher vacancies
  • Pupil: teacher ratios (PTR) and pupil: adult ratios (PARs)
  • Teacher ethnicity
  • Teacher sickness absence
An additional table providing teacher numbers and support staff numbers in Academies will also be included.

Table 14 has been amended, changes have been made to higher level teaching assistants in secondary schools and to special needs support staff in special schools - 3 June 2009.
