Diet can have a major impact on health. Nearly 1 in 4 adults and more than 1 in 10 children aged 2 to 10 are already obese, and this figure is rising, and obesity can increase the risk of type 2 diabetes, some cancers and heart disease. Many people are eating more saturated fat, salt and added sugar than Government recommendations; and too little fruit, vegetables, oily fish and fibre.
