About Defence

Acquisition Operating Framework (AOF)

The AOF is the authoritative source of policy and guidance on acquisition for the UK MOD and our Industry partners.

The AOF defines how we conduct, govern and control our Defence acquisition process and is a key enabler for improving our delivery to the Armed Forces and for producing greater value for money for the taxpayer.

How to access the AOF?

The AOF is now available via registered access. Please complete the registration form to get a logon account for AOF and once you have activated your account you will be able to logon and browse the AOF – see 'Register for access to the AOF' under 'External links' on the right.
