Below is a range of organisations that offer advice and information to people with learning difficulties

AFASIC (Unlocking Speech and Language)

AFASIC is the UK charity representing children and young adults with communication impairments, working for their inclusion in society and supporting their parents and carers.

British Dyslexia Association

The BDA aims to create a dyslexia friendly society that will enable all dyslexic people to reach their potential.

British Institute of Learning Difficulties

A provider information, publications, training and other services for organisations and individuals with learning difficulties

CARE

CARE is dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities throughout their daily lives to achieve greater independence and a more fulfilled lifestyle.

Down's Syndrome Association

Helping people with Down's syndrome to live full and rewarding lives.

Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities (FPLD)

FPLD uses research and projects to promote the rights of people with learning disabilities and their families.

Learning Disability Helpline - England

The Learning Disability Helpline offers advice on anything to do with learning disability - from benefits and housing rights to local services.

Mencap

Mencap provides a variety of services for people with a learning disability and their families and carers. This includes support with housing, education, employment and leisure activities.

Netbuddy

Netbuddy is a registered charity which provides practical support to parents and carers of people with learning disabilities.
