There is a range of organisations and charities that offer advice and information to disabled people and parents of disabled children on learning-related areas


AbilityNet is a national charity helping disabled adults and children use computers and the internet by adapting and adjusting their technology

ACE Centre (Aiding Communication in Education)

ACE Centre offers help and support for children who have complex physical and communication difficulties, and for their parents, carers or therapists

ACE Centre North

ACE Centre North provide help and expertise in the field of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT)

Action for Blind People

A national charity which provides free and confidential support for blind and partially sighted people in all aspects of their lives.

British Dyslexia Association (BDA)

The British Dyslexia Association aims to create a dyslexia-friendly society that enables dyslexic people to reach their potential

British Institute for Brain Injured Children (BIBIC)
