Highlights for the year


A core activity for the Agency is the collection of Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) and we passed an important milestElectronic Vehicle Licensing has exceeded one hundred million transactions imageone in the year with the collection of £6 billion of VED for the first time ever.

DVLA’s Electronic Vehicle Licensing (EVL) service has exceeded one hundred million transactions since it was launched in February 2004....

In 2011-12, the Agency produced its first electronic Business Plan. The plan provides monthly/quarterly updates on performance against our business objectives...

The revocation of Trading Fund Status of the Agency came into force on the 1 April 2011. It remains an Executive Agency of the Department for Transport. An impact of the revocation is that the Agency no longer receives SLA funding for its VED collection and enforcement activities, but in its place receives supply funding voted by Parliament in the Supply Estimate for the Department for Transport (DfT)....
