M4 M5 gantry overnight Next phase of gantry work starts on M62 Managed Motorway in West Yorkshire

The £150m managed motorway scheme covers a 15.5-mile section of the M62. It will cut congestion, make journey times more reliable and improve safety through the use of variable speed limits and by opening the hard shoulder as an extra running lane.

Overnight closures of the M5 north of Bristol

The next series of overnight closures on the M5, north of Bristol, takes place during September, as part of region's first managed motorway. Overnight closures of the M5 will be between 10pm and 6am to allow us to install overhead gantries.

HFTT Hands-free traffic app makes Highways Agency data available to road users

The Highways Agency has reached an agreement to feed up-to-date traffic information from England's motorways and major A roads into a new hands-free app for iPhones and Android smartphones.
