Key points
- All motor vehicle traffic was 0.5 per cent higher in the first quarter of 2012 than in the first quarter of 2011.
- Light van traffic was 3 per cent higher in the first quarter of 2012 compared with the first quarter of 2011, whilst car traffic and heavy goods vehicle traffic were unchanged. Other motor vehicles were 6 per cent lower.
- Traffic was unchanged on most road types in the first quarter of 2012 compared with the first quarter of 2011, with the exception of minor urban roads, which were 1 per cent higher.
