Carers

Carers provide unpaid support to family or friends who couldn’t manage without this help, whether they’re caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance misuse problems. The Department is keen that carers, many of who don’t see themselves as carers, are offered support in considering their options and making informed choices about their lives.
