Bed Availability and Occupancy

Each quarter the Department publises data on bed availability and occupancy which includes:

number of beds for each NHS provider which are available for patients to have treatment or care
the average daily number of available beds open overnight, and the ‘percentage occupancy’
those beds which are in a separate day-case unit or designated ward for day-cases only
average daily number of available residential care beds managed by the NHS
information on ‘adult intensive care and high dependency beds’
