EMDA & EMRA GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE SEMINARS & TRAINING WORKSHOPS

River Nene Regional Park are organising these events in conjunction with emda and environmental partners with the intention to provide specialist support and mentoring for District Councils and other authorities in the East Midlands who currently have little or no GI support. It is hoped to show how Green Infrastructure can be delivered to Regional and Local government and non governmental organisations.

FIRST EMGIN USER CONFERENCE 2008
19th November, Lincoln

The first EMGIN User Conference took place alongside the EAST MIDLANDS EXPO. It was also where the East Midlands Green Infrastructure Guide and the 6Cs Growth Area Green Infrastructure website were launched.

A second round of Green Infrastructure events began at the Northamptonshire workshop earlier this year (see below). These will take the form of three seminars, and will be aimed at Planning Practitioners.

As part of the on going development of the Green Infrastructure Network workshop events are being held to develop the Network and help to provide best practice on how to deliver Green Infrastructure.

The event marked the launch of the East Midlands Green Infrastructure Network and celebrated The public benefit mapping project and was attended by 150 delegates from accross the east midlands.
