Northampton Riverside Festival 2011
The River Nene Regional Park CiC joined other companies and agencies to celebrate 250 years of navigation of the River Nene
The River Nene Regional Park team were proud to be part of the Northampton Riverside Festival on the 7th August, which was held to celebrate 250 years of navigation on the River Nene. While the commercial use of the canal helped Northampton to prosper in the industrial revolution, local people will now be able to benefit from the regeneration of the waterside, of which the new Becket's Park Marina will play a major part, and the provision of new homes employment and amenities.
