Revital-ISE is a new partnership project that has been launched to improve biodiversity, access, recreation and leisure in the area, encouraging the local communities' involvement.
This project will endeavour to implement improvements along the length of the Ise valley with the aims of enhancing the biodiversity, providing increased access, increasing leisure and recreational activities, improving the landscape value and restoring the natural floodplain where possible.

WATER RELEASED ONTO WATER MEADOW AT WICKSTEED PARK NATURE RESERVE May 1st 2012 : Water has been released on to the Water meadow at the Wicksteed Park Nature Reserve for the first time in at least 100 years. |

RESTORATION OF CASTLE FIELD AT WICKSTEED PARK NATURE RESERVE Work has now started to restore the Scheduled Ancient Monument (SAM) at Castle Field in Barton Seagrave. |

WATER CHANNELS RESTORED AT WICKSTEED WATER MEADOWS The water channels have now been fully restored at the Water Meadow in Wicksteed Park Nature Reserve. |

NATURAL-ISE COMMUNITY GROUP RECEIVES GIFT OF TOOLS The Natural-ISE Community group has received £600 worth of tools to help when they are working on environmental projects within the ISE Valley Park and surrounding areas. |

CHURCH GROUP VOLUNTEER AT WICKSTEED WATER MEADOWS Over 40 volunteers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helped with clearing work at the water meadows. |

ENVIRONMENTAL LEAVE DAY AT WICKSTEED WATER MEADOWS Over 25 staff from the Environment Agency and Anglian Water spent their environmental leave day at the Water Meadow in Wicksteed Park Nature Reserve helping with the restoration. |

NEW NATIVE ENGLISH WILDFLOWER MEADOW TO BE CREATED The Natural-Ise group, who look after the newly created Ise Valley Parklands in Kettering, are to start work on planting large amounts of native wildflower plants along the River Ise. |

WICKSTEED PARK NATURE RESERVE - FINAL WORK DAY IN 2011 The last in the series of Community Restoration events for 2011 took place on Tuesday 13th September. |

NEW DIPPING PLATFORMS COMPLETE AT NEWTON FIELD CENTRE The Revital-ISE project has funded two dipping platforms at Newton Field Centre. The aims of these new platforms are to improve the experience and safety for the numerous schools visiting the centre and help protect the river. TROUT IN THE CLASSROOM 2010 Trout in the Classroom is a multi-award winning hatchery scheme which, following an initial participation in 2009, schools are again taking part in through Revital-ISE. |

NATURAL-ISE VOLUNTEER GROUP; RIVER ISE CLEAN- UP Natural-ISE, a new volunteer group of residents from the Ise Lodge and Grange estates in Kettering, formed through Revital-ISE, have begun work cleaning up the River Ise. |

SOUTHFIELD FARM SSSI The Environment Agency (EA), with funding from Revital-ISE, has undertaken work for the Wildlife Trust at Southfield Farm Marsh Nature Reserve to help keep the Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) 'wetted up'. The Reserve lies between Kettering and Burton Latimer next to the River Ise and the A14. |

REVITAL-ISE PARTNER WORKSHOPS The Revital-ISE project which aims to revive the River Ise and its surrounding environment and increase community involvement has held its first partner workshop event at Wicksteed Park. The aim of this meeting was to discuss the type of project needed to revive the Ise Valley. Organisations such as: Natural England, English Heritage, The Wildlife Trust, Kettering Borough Council, Borough Council of Wellingborough, Environment Agency and River Nene Regional Park were some of the 14 involved in the discussions. |
