The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency is an Executive Agency of the Department for Transport (DfT).

Strike action by DVLA union members

The Public and Commercial Services (PCS) Union has called upon its members to take part in industrial action from 3 pm onwards on Friday 1 June 2012. As a result, it is possible that DVLA Local Offices may be closed.

DVLA service disruption

On Saturday 2nd June a scheduled system upgrade means we cannot access our driver records. Our telephone service will only offer general advice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Important information for digital tachograph (driver and company card) holders

DVLA has identified a malfunctioning issue with a number of digital tachograph cards issued between 24 March 2007 and 31 August 2008. Not all cards issued during this period are affected and some continue to work until they expire. To find out more on how this could affect you, follow the link below.
