Durrants appointed as single central supplier for Government press cuttings
17 March 2011
The Central Office of Information (COI) has appointed Durrants as a single central supplier for Government press cuttings.
Durrants has been appointed as part of a new framework agreement, designed to reduce the costs and duplication associated with press cuttings and to deliver a significantly better deal for Government and the public sector.
The new framework agreement also enables all central Government departments to receive press cuttings online, which can reduce the need for paper cuttings. Currently only around 25 per cent of central Government press cuttings are provided digitally.
The new press cuttings framework agreement will be accessible to all Government departments and wider public sector organisations.
Durrants was selected as the successful supplier through a rigorous procurement process. Its offer stands to provide the best value for money for Government by delivering the greatest economies of scale, via a single supplier.
