Funding Foundation Learning

There are no bespoke funding arrangements for Foundation Learning. Foundation Learning programmes are personalised destination-led programmes of flexible content and duration that support individual progression. The programmes are funded through our standard demand-led funding mechanism, so all requirements of the funding guidance apply to Foundation Learning.

This page provides information, presentation material, guidance and examples of how the demand-led funding mechanism is applied to Foundation Learning programmes.

LLDDs placed with specialist providers will continue to be funded as described in Funding Guidance: Placement for Learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities. Our intention is to work towards using the demand-led funding methodology to fund these learners' programmes.
