16-19 funding statement

16-19 Funding Statement for 2012-13

The YPLA has published the 16-19 Funding Statement for the funding of education and training in England for the 2012-13 financial year. The Statement outlines indicative levels of funding to be invested in the 2012-13 financial year and the learner numbers and funding policies to be applied in the 2012/13 academic year by the YPLA. It is of interest to local authorities, schools, Academies, colleges and other providers.

The Statement is reflective of four key themes:

  • supporting the drive to full participation;
  • rebalancing funding towards disadvantaged learners and those needing additional support;
  • protecting funding for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities;
  • managing steps towards fairer funding.

The document is accompanied by Frequently Asked Questions. A presentation has also been produced to assist senior management in schools/Academies, colleges and other providers to disseminate the key messages for 2012-13.

The slides from the recent YPLA territorial provider briefings are now available below. Please note these slides do not include any local information that may have been presented at an event.
