Leicester-based Mark Group Ltd installs renewable energy and energy efficiency products, such as solar panels and solar water heaters. Having become successful in the UK, the company commissioned an Overseas Market Introduction Service (OMIS) report about Australia from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI). The report indicated that there were real opportunities for the business, and a Sydney office was opened in August, 2009.
With continued support from UKTI teams across Australia, Mark Group Australia has since expanded to five offices, in three states, with a workforce of 140 employees. The company has become a top three installer of solar power, and the first choice in insulation for five out of Australia’s top ten home builders.
