A report, which can be found at the link below, summarises the key findings and recommendations of two programmes of audits covering 29 local authorities in England, carried out between April and September 2008, and May and July 2009, which assessed specific elements of the 'standard' critical to achieving satisfactory levels of compliance with food safety requirements in food businesses. Relevant good practice seen during the audit programmes has also been identified.
