Contractor sought for INTAKE 2

The Food Standards Agency is inviting applications for a contract to support and maintain its INTAKE 2 data warehouse system. INTAKE 2 gives the Agency the ability to gauge consumption of contaminants, additives and nutrients in the food eaten by the British public.
The contract covers support and maintenance including problem resolution, bug-fixing, minor enhancements to the system and preventative maintenance. There is the possibility of separately costed more major enhancements to the operating system being included in the contract.
The current contract ends on 31 March 2008. The proffered contract is for three years with the possiblity of a two year extension. Applicants must be able to demonstrate relevant experience in the field, possess adequate resources and be commercially sound.
