Website Accessibility Policy

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has set out its approach to accessibility in the HMRC Website Accessibility Policy. This document lists the core functions visitors to the site should be able to perform and details the help and alternative solutions available to those who need it.

Standards compliance

Although the site doesn’t currently fully comply in all areas, HMRC aspiration is to conform to all of the Guidelines for UK government websites and the Worldwide Web Consortiums (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0, Level AA, and ensure it maintains this standard once it is achieved.

HMRC strive to obey the spirit of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) of 1995 and 2005 with respect to the provision of services online, as required by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
