Registration Officers and Executives

Registration Officer and Executive posts are the usual positions available at Land Registry.

Being a Registration Officer or Registration Executive at one of our local offices provides successful candidates with the opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of essential land registration duties. Posts at Head Office in London present an opportunity to gain an insight into many policy and operational areas of Land Registry work. All posts provide a valuable platform for career progression.

We do not require specific educational qualifications. Instead, the Land Registry has identified the skills and abilities that its staff should possess to perform effectively. We call these the Land Registry Core Competencies. Our Recruitment and Selection processes seek to establish whether an individual has the qualities we are looking for.

Specialist Opportunities

In addition to Registration Officer and Registration Executive posts, Land Registry has an occasional need to recruit specialists at a variety of grades and locations within England and Wales. These posts can be within a number of fields, and can include Finance and Accountancy, Information Technology, Personnel, or any of the other specialisms that play a vital part in the successful day to day working of the organisation.

Land Registry operates the Employment Service Disability Symbol Scheme, commonly known as 'Two Ticks', because it recognises that disabled people have been disadvantaged and under-represented within the employment market. The evidence provided on the application form will be used to judge whether the minimum standard has been demonstrated
