Management Development Programme (MDP)
Summary
The Management Development Programme aimed to build knowledge, skills and behaviours in frontline managers of young peoples services from the public, independent and voluntary sectors. It formed part of the Young People's Workforce Reform Programme which ran from 2008-2011.
In 2009 the programme was mapped against the LMI leadership and management standards and was formally recognised by both the Chartered Institute of Management and De Montfort University at level 6. Participants could choose to progress to receive a formal award on the satisfactory completion of written assignments.
