In May 2010 the Government announced its intention to close the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA) as part of its wider education reforms.
QCDA is now in the stages of final closure up to the end of March 2012. All school and local authority facing work has now ceased or transferred to the Department for Education. Read QCDA's revised remit letter for 2011.
QCDA no longer provides a general enquiry function. Please contact the Department for Education.
QCDA no longer provides exams administration. This function is now performed by the Exams Delivery Support Unit (EDSU). Please contact them on 0300 100 0100.
QCDA no longer administers national curriculum assessments. This function is now performed by the Standards and Testing Agency (STA). Please contact them on 0300 303 3013.
