How your gift is used

Your legacy could play a vital role in helping Kew’s work to inspire and deliver science-based plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life. Legacies are becoming an increasingly important part of our income and we are extremely grateful for any donations made in this way.

Previous legacies to Kew

By supporting Kew with a gift in your Will, you will join a hugely important group of people, without whom Kew would not be what it is today. Legacy supporters of Kew have ranged from those who simply love the Gardens to those who value Kew’s scientific achievements, and even a small legacy can make a big difference.

Why we need your gift

Oxalis hirta 'Gothenburg'_R Wilford

The conservation of our natural resources is one of the greatest challenges facing the world today. With climate change adding to the threats facing plant life worldwide, the need to conserve plants and their habitats has never been greater.

Kew is well placed to play a leading role in conserving the world’s plant life. This is because we have a wonderful resource in the collections that we house and maintain alongside the expertise of the scientists and conservationists that work here. However, it is only with the help of others that we can meet the challenges that lie ahead.
