Environmental eco-design training workshop organised

Envirowise has teamed up with Electronics Yorkshire to deliver a free half-day training workshop which will focus on the benefits of eco-design to the bottom line for businesses from all sectors.

The workshop, ‘Design-It-On’, is being held on Wednesday 13th January at Electronics Yorkshire’s headquarters in Leeds. The aim of the event is for a company representative to bring along two of its suppliers and learn more about how using design can reduce environmental impact and is a proven and effective way of reducing costs and carbon footprint.

The workshop will outline the basic principles of eco-design for products, packaging and services, and will be packed with practical examples of how companies can reduce environmental impact using design. It will also include a hands-on session redesigning products, processes or packaging with suppliers, with delegates being asked to bring along their products and/or packaging to the workshop for this purpose.
