Emerging Technologies for Electronics in Healthcare Seminar
Electronics Yorkshire is continuing its valuable programme of informative events by organising a free networking seminar, in conjunction with Medilink, at its headquarters in Leeds on Wednesday 27th October 2010.
The ‘Emerging Technologies in Healthcare’ half-day seminar will bring together leaders in electronics, regulatory affairs and medical devices and will focus on the growing need for electronics, electronic sensors and wireless technology in medical devices.
The seminar is aimed at product developers, technologists and individuals involved in R&D, providing an invaluable insight into the different perspectives from across the sectors. The main focus of the seminar will be a series of presentations from companies and organisations in the healthcare sector, as well as case studies from companies involved in woundcare and diagnostic technologies.
The presentations will be delivered by Yorkshire-based organisations including: Medipex, highlighting its activities and examples of innovations it is currently progressing; York EMC, focusing on what is required for the CE marking of electronics and medical products; and Fripp Design and Research, explaining the layered fabrication opportunities in delivering healthcare solutions.
Case studies will be presented by experts from Zilico, outlining the development of a range of products that deliver point-of-care, real-time diagnostics for detecting cancerous and pre-cancerous cervical cells; and Ulsys, explaining the design and development of an innovative pressure sensor for leg ulcer bandages.
Registration takes place from 9:30am and the seminar concludes at 12:30pm when delegates will have the opportunity to network and discuss the latest technologies over a buffet lunch.
