Rural Business Support Programme (RBSP)
The Rural Business Support Programme (RBSP is made possible through the support of the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), which runs from 2007-2013 and enables Yorkshire Forward to invest £63m in our region over 6 years. The RDPE is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the UK government.
How much is available?
Grants of up to £25,000 are available through the programme and the minimum grant amount is £2,000 (although this will be looked at on a case-by-case basis). Applicants should note that grant investment is available at 40% towards eligible capital/revenue costs.
Funding will cover 70% of eligible technical training costs related to the proposal. Training costs should not exceed 50% of the grant total and must be no more than £3,500 per individual.
Who is eligible to apply?
- A new rural enterprise
- A genuine new rural enterprise within an existing business, where the applicant is committed to establishing the new enterprise as a new business within two years for an initial period of 12 months from 1st April 2009
- A rural business where the investment is to fund genuine potential for growth
