GTC staff and council members regularly speak at education conferences. Recent speeches given to the International Teaching Councils Conference in Cardiff and to the annual conference of the Teacher Learning Academy look at the links teacher professionalism and accountability, the importance of high quality development opportunities for the profession and the necessity for teachers and schools to have the freedom to innovate in the interests of their pupils.
