Open date: 08 April 2009

Close date: 29 September 2009

The second stage of a consultation on prisoner's voting rights.

The government's consultation on prisoner voting rights was planned as a two-stage process. The first consultation paper was published on 14 December 2006, and closed on 7 March 2007.

This paper summarises the responses to the first consultation, sets out the government's view, and asks further questions for consultation on the options for prisoner voting rights.
