Land Registry governance

Land Registry's good governance, public accountability and strategic and day-to-day management are the responsibility of its two top management boards.

The Land Registry Board is responsible for the strategic direction, good governance and overall performance of Land Registry. It includes two non-executive directors who chair the Pay Committee and the Audit Committee.

The Executive Board delivers the annual business plan and is responsible for the day-to-day management of Land Registry.

The Land Registry Board's purpose is to set Land Registry's overall strategy and to assist the Chief Land Registrar and Chief Executive in his ultimate responsibility and accountability for the good governance and performance of Land Registry.
