bluemilelogoThe Blue Mile - get active, go BLUE!

THE BLUE MILE 2010 - Race for the Environment is a community-centred, mass-participation charity event. It is open to all to complete a mile, in, on or next to a water environment. The event has both water and beach based activities, an experiential learning zone and a retail village. The event experience is centred around education and participation in sport, healthy living and the environment.

Regular contact with the natural environment results in increased physical activity and stronger communities, and immersion into our BLUE environments helps people to understand the value of caring for our climate and our oceans.

The inaugural Blue Mile event will take place in front of Plymouth’s waterfront in the summer of 2010. Visit www.thebluemile.orgexternal link for more information.
