QCDA is closing as part of the Government's education reforms. We're updating our website to reflect our reducing remit until the site closes in autumn 2011. You can find removed content in the National Archives web archive.

What we do

At the end of May 2010, the Government announced its intention to close QCDA as part of its wider education reforms.

Until legislation is passed to abolish QCDA, which we expect to happen in early 2012, we will continue to fulfil our statutory responsibilities. We will also continue to support schools and colleges in national curriculum assessment and examinations delivery until autumn 2011, after which time these functions will transfer to the Department for Education.
