QCDA's response to review into testing

05 November 2010

Announcement

Lin Hinnigan, chief executive of QCDA

Lin Hinnigan, chief executive of QCDA, comments on the DfE's announcement of Lord Bew's review into testing.

We will offer our full support and assistance to Lord Bew and continue to work closely with schools and the Department for Education (DfE) to ensure children's hard work and achievements are recognised.

We welcome the  announcement  about how testing will be delivered after the closure of QCDA, which brings clarity for the staff involved and is good news for Coventry.

We will be pleased to use our development and delivery expertise to support DfE on the new agency.

Our focus now is on understanding what will happen to other areas of QCDA's work so we can give similar clarity to our remaining staff about their future.
