Offshore Environment Unit

The Offshore Environment Unit is split into three teams, the Environmental Management Team and the Offshore Environmental Inspection Team, both of which are located in Aberdeen; and the Environmental Policy Unit, which is located in both London and Aberdeen.

The Aberdeen teams consist of a group of administrators and technical specialists - Environmental Managers (EMs) and Offshore Environmental Inspectors (OEIs). Each of the Environmental Managers and Offshore Environmental Inspectors are allocated a portfolio of specific operators / companies and are responsible for dealing with the environmental aspects of those companies activities.
