A preliminary literature study in support of a project aimed at measuring specified unregulated exhaust emissions from modern European vehicles, representative of emerging technologies, over legislated and other test drive cycles. The study investigated selected unregulated gaseous and particle emissions species and highlighted the emissions, vehicle technologies and after-treatment effects which are currently scarce in the literature.
