One Response to Prime Minister and Health Secretary listen on NHS accountability

  1. Ian Lockwood says:

What forums/people are being listened to where IT/ICT matters are concerned. This is a key area where centralised savings have been made by the PCTs supporting the health community through the provision of ICT in support of patient care. These reforms could fragment that IT support and the vultures are already circling ready to sell IT direct to consortia some of whom will fall victim to being sold expensive solutions that won’t work. All of the lessons learned and experience gained from NPfIT and other IT implementations since PCTs were given responsibility to supply to the GPs could be lost and the cost of IT support for the NHS may increase masively.
