NHS Commissioning Board

The NHS Commissioning Board will be part of a comprehensive commissioning system for healthcare services. Clinical commissioning groups will form the key part of the new structure and they will be responsible for commissioning the majority of healthcare services. The Board will have a dual role in that it will both deliver its own commissioning functions and ensure that the whole of the architecture is cohesive, coordinated and efficient.
