Passports

Welcome to the Passport Processing Centre. We provide passports services for British nationals applying from many countries outside the UK. If you are applying in the UK, please go to the Directgov website.

How to use this site:

Go to "What passport do I need" to check what passport form you need and what documents you need to send to us. Go to "How to apply" for the details of how to apply from the country you are in, including how and where to send your application, payment options and local additional information.

Check the validity of your passport before making any travel plans, and ensure that your passport is valid for the proposed period of your stay abroad. Please also check the entry rules and visa requirements of the country you are going to visit by contacting the relevant Embassy or your travel agent.

New passport processing procedures explained

We remind applicants that travel should not be booked until a passport has been issued and HM Government cannot accept responsibility for any costs incurred if flights are booked and subsequently cancelled because a travel document is not available.
