We care about the well-being of our staff. Our Well-being team
brings together expertise on health and safety, occupational health
and welfare. Our priorities in this area are:
- Promoting health and well-being
- Keeping staff safe - at home and overseas
- Supporting staff in times of need
- Staying in touch with the wider SIS family (members of staff,
former members of staff and their families).
We offer staff a range of well-being initiatives, including
occupational health support, lifestyle activities and access to
counsellors.
Our diverse interests and enthusiasms are represented in the
many in-house networked groups, clubs and societies.
Support from counsellors
Any member of staff needing confidential support may consult an
in-house personal or financial counsellor.
Any member of staff may consult the Staff Counsellor to the
Intelligence Agencies, Desmond Bowen. He is appointed by the Prime
Minister as a point of contact for any members of the security and
intelligence agencies who have anxieties relating to the work of
their Service which it has not been possible to allay through the
ordinary processes of management or staff relations.
