The current highlights and trends are:
Gate fees for catering waste at composting facilities remained the same at £42.50 per tonne between July and August 2011, up by £5 from August 2010. Prices for contaminant free compost were unchanged at £8 per tonne, up by £1.50 per tonne from August 2010.
The chart shows the price for two commonly used types of fertiliser – Amonium Nitrate and Blended 20.10.10 (a blend of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium). Prices are based on 20-25 tonne load for payment the month following. Data is not available for Blended 20.10.10 for December 2007.
