South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue - Working For a Safer South Yorkshire

Free seminar for Barnsley carers

Smoke alarm
22 September 2011

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue is inviting carers in Barnsley to a free seminar where those caring for a vulnerable friend, relative or neighbour can find out more about the services we offer.

Those services include our free Home Safety Checks, where members of our staff will visit a vulnerable persons home, offering fire safety guidance  and fitting smoke alarms for free where needed.

You will also learn more about some basic fire prevention advice and how to spot potential fire hazards, which could save the life of you or the person you care for.

The free seminar will take place on Wednesday 19 October from 2pm to 3pm at Cudworth fire station, Tumbling Lane, Cudworth, Barnsley S71 5SA. You can find directions to Cudworth fire station here. Refreshments will also be provided free of change and will be available from 1.30pm.

To book your place, please RSVP to sbroadbent@syfire.gov.uk by no later than 12 October. Or for more information, call 0114 253 2883.
