Annual data submission

Currently, each company sends us information about their performance each year. This annual data submission (or ‘June return’) is published to allow customers and stakeholders to understand each company’s performance.

In previous years we have published each company’s June return. For 2011, we have asked each company to publish the following information on their website about their 2010-11 performance.

  • June return tables: these set out data on how each company has performed. Our reporting requirements set out how each company must present the data.
  • Board overview: this sets out how the Board of Directors of each company thinks their company has performed.
  • The independent consultant engineers’ (‘reporters’) report: this sets out the reporter’s assessment of the company’s performance.

You can find links to this information in 'Latest data'.

In ‘Getting it right for customers – how can we make monopoly water and sewerage companies more accountable?’ we said we were moving to a different approach for holding the companies accountable for meeting their customers’ expectations and their legal obligations. This will have a significant impact on the information that we ask companies to provide. In future, each company will take responsibility for publishing information so that its customers and stakeholders can understand the service that it provides.
