Route

This is a linear route along a mainly tarmaced road. Follow the road north as far as Scroggs Bridge; here the road crosses the River Kent and continues to Kentmere. Ignore the road-bridge and continue northwards along the west side of the river following the tarmaced lane as far as Browfoot.

Beyond Browfoot the lane continues steeply uphill for about half-a-mile where it forms a T-junction with a bridleway. This bridleway continues across the fellside, providing further views of the surrounding fells. Although electric powered chairs may manage by themselves a strong pusher will be required for manually operated chairs. The route back to the car is by the same series of tarmaced lanes and roads.
