Maternity, paternity and adoption rights at work

By completing a series of questions you will be given a personalised statement of your rights at work during the birth or adoption of your child.

Maternity and adoption rights

If you are pregnant or adopting a child you could be entitled to up to 52 weeks' Statutory Maternity or Adoption Leave. To get a statement of your rights you should use the relevant tool below.

Your partner could be entitled to up to two weeks' Ordinary Paternity Leave - for more information, they can use the relevant tool in the section below.

Paternity rights

Fathers-to-be could be entitled to up to two weeks' consecutive Ordinary Paternity Leave - you can use this tool to find out your entitlement to this.

After you finish using the tool you should read our guidance on Additional Paternity Leave, as you could be entitled to up to 26 weeks' consecutive Additional Paternity Leave.
